At the Center for Trauma Recovery, our team is made up of licensed clinicians, holistic practitioners and facilitators who are all trained on trauma-responsive techniques. We are deeply committed to supporting clients through every stage of healing. Each member of our team brings specialized training, lived experience, and a shared belief in meeting others with respect, safety, and compassion.

With over 300 years of combined clinical experience, we understand that trauma impacts everyone differently. Our team works collaboratively across clinical therapy, body-based practices, and expressive modalities to provide care that is thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based approaches. Above all, we believe in creating an environment where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

    I am a trained social worker who has had the privilege of working in the clinical field for 40 years. I have worked in a variety of agencies as well as being self-employed. My focus throughout has primarily been trauma, addiction, depression and anxiety as well as a variety of other mental health conditions impacting the individual. I believe in providing a compassionate and empathetic approach when connecting with clients, families and communities. I also inherently believe that no one journey an individual is on is the same as the next person.

    I (with my partner Charlie) developed the Center for Trauma Recovery to meet the unmeant needs of individuals experiencing (or have experienced) trauma. The design and creation of the Center and more specifically the Intensive Outpatient Trauma Focused Women’s program and various groups is based on a holistic, person-centered approach.  Each group allows the individual to find their “center” and work at the speed their bodies and nervous systems will allow.   

    In my free time I work as a Transformative Trauma Coach within Woven Waters Coaching with Jackie Corbally which I founded and own (jackiecoaching.org). I enjoy being outside whether in the mountains or on a beach, reading (love the escapism a book provides!)  and spending time with my family/friends and dogs, cat and goats.

    I am a licensed independent clinical social worker who has been practicing for over 25+ years.  I have an expansive career working with children, adolescents and adults.  I have been trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) , Somatic Therapy, Safe Sound Protocol, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I come with extensive experience working at the Department of Corrections in the domestic violence unit , the Department of Children and Families. non-profit agencies as well as his own private practice outside of the Center for Trauma Recovery. In addition to being the Clinical Director and working with individuals, I have also supervised individuals looking to acquire their license.

    In my free time I enjoy traveling with my partner Jackie, visiting my children and grandchildren, hiking, baking, baseball, and spending time outdoors.

    My winding career path began with an M.Ed. in secondary education, teaching middle and high school social studies, followed by ten years running my own business, Flashbags, in Burlington. I later transitioned into marketing and branding, working as an account manager at Select Design and supporting international, national, and local brands.

    Driven by a desire to work more closely with the community, I joined the Burlington Police Department as Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police. In this role, I worked closely with Jackie and became deeply interested in understanding—and reframing—how, as a society, we can better support individuals who have experienced trauma and who struggle with substance use disorder.

    Today, I serve as a facilitator within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), where I focus on self-discovery, community, and connection, reinforcing pathways for growth and healing.

    Outside of work, I love spending time with my three-year-old son, Xander, practicing presence moment by moment, bringing compassion into the world, and adventuring and laughing with my family and friends.

Within my practice, True Sound Music Therapy, I’ve had the opportunity to work for a wide range of agencies serving children, teens, adults and the elderly. In addition to my clinical work, I also offer workshops and retreats to enhance overall wellness. My professional mission is to help others heal and grow through the power of music and creativity. 

    I’m also a songwriter and performer. I’m of Puerto Rican descent, and my bicultural upbringing fostered a love for travel. I also love spending time in nature and connecting with friends & family.

  • Most of my life I have lived in Vermont where I raised a family and owned several businesses as a florist, candle maker, landscape designer and yoga instructor.

    Through my yoga practice, training and teaching, I have found a new paradigm in my outlook on health and wellness that has become an ongoing exploration in personal embodiment. I love my work as a Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator and I am dedicated to a safe and therapeutic alliance with my clients....in charge of themselves based on a felt sense of their own body.

    In my personal life I enjoy long walks with my dog Fig, cooking, reading, gardening, making art and simple pleasures with friends and family.

    About TCTSY:

    Developed at the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI in Needham, Massachusetts, Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The TCTSY program is included in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) database published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In addition to yoga, TCTSY has foundations in Trauma Theory, Attachment Theory, and Neuroscience.

As an art therapist, my focus is to teach individuals how to heal through the creative process. The idea of using art as a tool for self-expression, in a non-threatening manner is truly powerful. Sessions focus on the process, rather than the product and often strengths and struggles present through the exploration of materials.

    As an occupational therapist, I focus on helping people participate in meaningful daily activities (“occupations”). My clinical specialty is mental health across the life span, with extensive experience working with women with trauma histories, veterans, the unhoused, and many other vulnerable groups. My research highlights the many facets of trauma-informed care. When I’m not working, I am a mixed media artist. Creative play brings me great joy.   • I began exploring work as an advocate in 2020, when personal experience drove me to found an IPV empowerment group at the University of Pittsburgh. After completing my Master’s degree in Social Work and obtaining licensure, I turned my focus to providing short-term psychotherapy and hotline support to individuals outside of Philadelphia affected by interpersonal violence and crime.

    My work has been highly motivated by a desire to provide education surrounding the physiological effects of trauma, as well as the implementation of empowerment theory in individual and group trauma work. You will find that I am passionate about providing choice and intentionality in the work we do together, as well as encouraging creativity and expression as a way to heal. It is important to me to acknowledge the barriers many folks have in accessing care, and as a trauma survivor myself, am here to provide space to process gradually as we build trust in the therapeutic relationship. When not working with clients, I love to spend time with my two dogs and three cats, enjoy the beautiful Vermont scenery, and dance. I look forward to learning from you and supporting you on your healing journey.

    I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting diverse communities, including children, youth, families, adults, and survivors of trauma and torture. Across these experiences, I’ve discovered a deep passion for working with women and holding space for their healing, growth, and transformation.


    I believe healing is not about fixing something within you—you are not broken. Rather, healing is about nurturing yourself in ways that help you remember who you are, while creating space to evolve beyond patterns of thinking, being, and expressing that no longer serve you. I view healing as both a personal and collective journey, and I am committed to creating spaces where every part of your identity is honored, respected, and held with care.


    Beyond my professional work, I am a Reiki Master healer, a mother, a wife, and a devoted dog mom. At the heart of everything I do is my family. I’m also a world traveler, drawn to adventure, curiosity, and connection. Travel, for me, is about immersing myself in a place—feeling its rhythm and connecting with the people who call it home. Summer is my favorite season—you’ll often find me chasing waterfalls, cliff jumping, or relaxing in my hammock. These are the people and experiences that bring the greatest meaning and joy to my life.

With over 12 years of experience supporting college students in a university setting, I specialize in helping individuals navigate life's challenges while fostering resilience and emotional well-being. My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices with an understanding of the whole person—considering emotional, physical, and social factors in treatment. Through compassion and collaboration, I aim to empowers clients to heal from trauma, build coping skills, and lead fulfilling lives.

    In my free time I enjoy living in Vermont and exploring nature skiing, biking, running and all water sports with my daughter, husband and dog. Outside of Vermont I love travel and immersing myself in new places and learning for people.
